ERIC PARKER ATHLETICS, LLCWith much thought I have decided to create Eric Parker Athletics, LLC. I have taken all of my experience in athletic competition and preparation, all of the major influences in my life (my family, past coaches, teammates, books, film, etc.) and condensed the very best from all of them. Training Philosophy

"TUFF WILL TRAINING" is a practical and well planned training regimen that prepares athletes for victory in their most intense competitive moments. These split second moments of victory are realized through many TUFF and onerous training sessions that take place many weeks preceding competition, during which the athlete anticipates victorious performances day and night. The true expression of TUFF WILL TRAINING is to teach the body to follow the mind. It is a known fact in the world of competition that winning is a decision, even more than it is an outcome. The aim of Eric Parker Athletics is to provide an environment that is conducive for the aspiring athlete to realize his maximum potential. This can allow him to be confident that his best effort is good enough for winning performances.How is this accomplished? Through good old fashioned hard work and self discipline. At Eric Parker Athletics, we strengthen every part of the body--from the bottoms of your feet to your head of hair. We also help the athlete develop a purpose for "why" he is working so intensely. Without knowing the core purpose for his wanting to become a supreme champion, the athlete will never fully enjoy hard work.Does blindly working hard make you successful? The answer is NO! An athlete who is void of direction, constructive feedback, positive mental re-conditioning, and proper conditioning of the mind and body on a constant basis can fall prey to frustration, loss of confidence, burnout and injury. The athlete has to internalize something larger than himself. He must be motivated by his ultimate dream and desire so much that it becomes a need for him to attain it. The athlete that understands his purpose will also discover his reason. This athlete has ZERO excuses. This athlete doesn't say "I'll try my best and see where it gets me." This athlete verbalizes that he IS the best and he WILL be victorious no matter what happens. He'll do whatever it takes--confident and anticipating victory because of his willingness to have learned to love hard work. This is the tuff willed athlete. The Coach

ERIC PARKER, NSCA-CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist)Eric Parker spent 6-years as a wide receiver for the San Diego Chargers where he was known for hard work, cat-like agility, smooth route running, great technique and a professional attitude on and off the field. He has long been a fanatic about health, physical training and preparing to compete. He now brings the same commitment and intensity to the teaching and coaching of aspiring young athletes. Over the past four years, Eric has had some great opportunities to prepare athletes for their NFL pro day try-outs and mentor high school wide receivers on their paths to Division 1 NCAA scholarships. His coaching experience began as a pop warner coach while he attended college at the University of Tennessee. Most recently, Eric has had the opportunity to spend the 2009-2010 football season as Helix High School's wide receiver coach--coaching 3 of the top 5 WR's in the conference. He then completed two internships with the San Diego Chargers--both as a wide receiver coaching assistant and as a strength and conditioning assistant from 2008-2010. This experience combined with his professional athletic experience has helped Eric to become not only an outstanding coach, but a great mentor on and off the field. He is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Eric's newest endeavor is Eric Parker Athletics, LLC (which has been in the making for several years now), encompassing sports performance training and wide receiver specific skills training. Eric has the unique ability not only to play the game, but to also clearly teach the techniques and allow his athletes to understand the many concepts and finite details of the art of route running at the wide receiver position. His ability to prepare the athletes complete body and mind through physical conditioning, brings forth the potential in his athletes to produce optimal results on the field while reducing the risk of injury due to unsound techniques. Resume InfoProfessional Activities• Employed in the National Football League (NFL) for six seasons as a wide receiver for the San Diego Chargers. Named twice to the USA Today All-Joe team. The USA Today All-Joe team is an annual selection of NFL players and coaches deemed hard workers and over-achievers that may be overlooked by the traditional media. Member of the 2004 American Football Conference Champions. • Received the Bill Walsh Minority Coaching Internship with the San Diego Chargers. Worked with the San Diego Chargers as a wide receivers and strength and conditioning coach after being named a recipient of this competitive coaching internship. • Assistant Football coach at Helix High School, coaching three of the top five wide receivers in East County San Diego. One senior received full athletic scholarship to attend San Jose State University. Spent a year shadowing members of the physical education department at the high school. (2009-2010)• Assistant Wrestling coach at Helix High School, receiving Co-Coach of the Year Accolades at the Grossmont Conference. (2010-2011)• Founder of the Eric Parker Wide Receiver Training Academy and Eric Parker Athletics, LLC. The training academy focuses on working with athletes of all levels to learn vital techniques, strategies and conditioning skills consistent with the position of wide receiver. Clients included Terrance Scott, former University of Oregon wide-receiver currently playing professional football for the British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football League, Sean Linton--wide receiver currently playing for San Jose State University. Also founded Eric Parker Athletics, a business focused on developing strength and conditioning programs for high school, college and professional athletes and individual personal training. We are Located in Bonita, CA and currently serve all of San Diego County. Our Facilities include state of the art equipment including:Swimming pool with running laneInfrared SaunaPower Plate Vibration TechnologyHammer Strength Power Rack Vectra Functional TrainerPrecor stretching apparatus TRX and More.We also utilize use of slide boards, agility boxes/ladders, Boxing/MMA equipment, climbing ropes, medicine balls, Bosu balls, weighted vests, various grip work and balance equipment, speed equipment, sand bags, and much much more.We are located near Rohr Park and utilize it's running trail and hills for training. We also make use of beautiful Mission Beach and Cowles Mountain for training variation.

THE PROGRAM:This program is tailored for all ages and performance levels. It is for the NFL Wide Receiver wanting to stay sharp or make additions to his arsenal. For the college athlete we offer NFL combine consulting and wide receiver skills development. A High School wide receiver can drastically transform his style of play and increase his chances of earning a college scholarship. We also work with any pee-wee league wide receivers wanting to get an introduction to the proper fundamentals and techniques of the position. This is an excellent jump start to becoming a top flight wide receiver in years to come. Attention Coaches: Team instruction and practice planning for wide receiver groups is available upon request.WIDE RECEIVER SKILLS DEVELOPMENT:1. Wide Receiver Movement and Skill Evaluation2. Conditioning Evaluation:After a thorough initial assessment, a plan can be developed to further progress your skills at the wide receiver position.3. Correct Fundamentals:Foot Work - Body Positioning and Awareness - Catching - Blocking. This will be the core of the program. How you prove yourself here over a course of time will determine the evolution of the training. Again--you will be trained on correct fundamentals!4. THE COLLEGE TO NFL TRANSITION:The high school to college transition is the most physically daunting task football players have to make. The transition from college to professional football is the most technical. Everyone is fast, strong, and highly skilled at their position. When a college receiver first steps into an NFL camp, there are a few things that immediately stand out. The most obvious is his potential, but the most limiting factor other than being in a new system is having technique that is still unrefined. You will be spending a lot of time doing combine training drills. Doing well in these drills along with your college scouting evaluation will have a huge impact on getting your foot in the door. However, stepping into a camp technically squared away can speed up the process of your success on the field. Becoming technically proficient takes time and is a daily commitment. Constant evaluation, correction and reinforcement are what it takes to make a young, raw receiver into a more polished and technically sure pass catcher. I believe that my coaching can not only advance your understanding of the art of route running, but can also provide an advantage to you by giving you an early insight into the management of your daily activities at the football facility. From My Clients and Athletes Sean Linton--Wide Receiver (San Jose State University)Coach Eric Parker is a great coach on and off the field. Of all the coach's I have trained with, he is by far the best. His training sessions are phenomenal. They may be difficult at times, but the work really pays off. He has tremendous knowledge of how the human body works and what you should do to perform to the best of your abilities. With his NFL experience he knows what it takes to be an NFL receiver. I have learned a great amount of fundamentals which will allow for me to be successful on the field. I find myself taking fundamentals that Eric taught me and transferring them on the field at a game, whether I am running a route, blocking, or reading the defense. Training with Eric can benefit you, at any sport you play because his workouts are focused on overall athleticism. I recommend anyone who is dedicated and wants to train at a professional level to train with Eric Parker.

Joliet Township High School: 1996 Coaches--Alan Greenberg, Bob BennettSan Diego Chargers: There were many great players and coaches during my time with the team that helped my progress as a player through their on field coaching and off field conversation. However, these are the people that had the biggest impact.Coach Steve Crosby--During my rookie year, thank you for letting me return those punts against the 49ers and the Rams. A great guy and coach--I will never forget coach Crosby because he had a unique way with the English language. He is a great teacher and cares about his players.Coach Marty Shottenheimer--An excellent organizer, teacher, and motivator. The mission was always crystal clear and there was one way to do it! It was hard work but there really is no other way to get the job done. WRITE IT DOWN!!!Coach James Lofton--The best coach I've had. Lofton was inducted into the Hall Of Fame in 2003. He has taught me the details at the position and was responsible for much of the success that I had on the field. The other thing that made James Lofton a great coach was his high level of physical conditioning. It was a great motivator to know that your coach was in just as good of physical shape as the wide receivers that he coached. He was a players coach and you wanted to do well for him every time you went out to play. He demanded a lot from you physically and mentally.Keenan McCardell & Tim Dwight--These guys were great mentors, competitors and teammates. Along with the coaching of Lofton, these guys really taught me a lot on and off the field. Jeff Hurd & Vernon Stevens--These two guys allowed me to come into their weight room as an intern and really made me feel like I was a part of the staff. Nothing compares to the hands-on experience and guidance that they provided.
